Metabolic Assessment
Resting Metabolic Rate Testing
RMR testing uses indirect calorimetry to estimate the energy your body requires at rest. Measurements of respiratory gases help inform calorie recommendations and provide information about fuel utilization under the testing conditions.
VO₂ Max Testing
Testing during treadmill or bicycle exercise measures oxygen uptake to assess cardiorespiratory fitness. We use the results to establish a baseline, guide exercise intensity, and monitor changes in conditioning.
InBody Composition Analysis
InBody estimates muscle mass, body fat percentage, and body water distribution. Repeated measurements under consistent conditions help us evaluate changes beyond scale weight, including the preservation of lean mass during weight management.
Biosense Breath Ketone Monitoring
Biosense measures breath acetone as an indirect indicator of ketosis. We may use it within selected nutritional programs, interpreting results alongside dietary intake and other clinical information rather than as a direct measure of fat loss.
Nutrition Genome DNA Testing
Nutrition Genome examines genetic variants associated with nutrient metabolism and other biological pathways. We consider these findings alongside your diet, symptoms, and laboratory results when developing recommendations.
Biological Clock Testing
DNA methylation testing provides an estimate of biological age relative to chronological age. It may offer an additional reference point for monitoring, although changes in the estimate do not independently prove reversal of aging or increased longevity.
Nutrition & Metabolic Planning
Fasting Mimicking Diet with ProLon®
ProLon is a five-day, calorie-restricted meal program designed to produce some physiological responses associated with fasting while providing food. We assess suitability before recommending a cycle, particularly for patients taking glucose-lowering medications or with medical or nutritional concerns.
Research explores effects on weight and metabolic markers, while changes in visceral fat, muscle preservation, and cellular maintenance vary between individuals.
Ketogenic Nutrition
Selected plans may use carbohydrate restriction to encourage ketone production and alter fuel utilization. We tailor the approach to your needs, with attention to nutritional adequacy, tolerability, and medication management.
Core Restore Liver & Gut Programs
Our seven- or fourteen-day Core Restore programs combine structured nutrition with selected supplements. We review the ingredients and their intended role without assuming that a program removes accumulated toxins or corrects liver dysfunction.
Nutrition Tracking with Cronometer
Cronometer can help track energy intake, protein, and micronutrients. We use this information alongside RMR results and clinical findings to make practical adjustments to meals and daily habits.
Infusions & Related Injections
IV administration delivers ingredients directly into the bloodstream, bypassing digestive absorption. It does not guarantee cellular uptake or correction of a metabolic problem.
Slim Down IV & Slim Shot
These formulations may include vitamin C, taurine, methionine, inositol, choline, B vitamins, L-carnitine, and chromium, depending on the preparation. We review their suitability individually; they are not established substitutes for evidence-based weight management.
IV NAD+ & Subcutaneous NAD
NAD+ participates in cellular energy metabolism. We consider proposed treatment within selected plans, with an explanation of the limited evidence for improving energy, cognition, or metabolic outcomes through these administration routes.
Methylene Blue & CoQ10 Infusions
These compounds have distinct roles in cellular oxidation and mitochondrial pathways. Any proposed infusion requires a separate review of its formulation, evidence, and potential risks, including medication interactions and G6PD-related risks with methylene blue.
Spermidine IV
Spermidine is involved in cellular maintenance processes, including autophagy. Evidence that intravenous treatment improves metabolic efficiency or extends lifespan remains limited.
Plaquex® IV Therapy
Plaquex is a phosphatidylcholine-based infusion considered within selected protocols. We discuss its proposed role separately from established lipid management, without presenting it as a proven method of dissolving arterial plaque.
Medications & Peptide-Based Approaches
Semaglutide & Tirzepatide
When appropriate, we consider prescription treatment using approved formulations for their indicated conditions. Care includes monitoring, nutrition guidance, and resistance exercise to support health and lean mass during weight loss.
Tesamorelin
Tesamorelin has a specific approved indication for excess abdominal fat in adults with HIV-associated lipodystrophy. It is not a general weight-loss medication, and any proposed use requires consideration of the indication and risks.
Investigational Compounds
Retatrutide, cagrilintide, AOD-9604, and MOTS-C require distinct consideration of their evidence and regulatory status. They should not be presented as interchangeable with approved weight-management medications.
SS-31, also known as elamipretide, has been investigated for mitochondrial conditions; disease-specific findings do not establish a role in general metabolic optimization. We review the exact product, indication, and regulatory requirements before discussing any peptide-based approach.
Physical & Oxygen-Based Modalities
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
Our 2.0 ATA hard-shell chamber delivers oxygen in a pressurized environment. We assess suitability and the proposed indication separately, as increased oxygen availability does not establish weight-loss or longevity benefits.
Total Body Hyperthermia & Infrared Sauna
These are distinct heat-based modalities with different treatment parameters. We review hydration, cardiovascular health, medications, and heat tolerance before recommending either approach.
Human Regenerator Jet Bed
The Human Regenerator Jet Bed is described within our offerings as a cold atmospheric plasma modality. We explain the proposed application and available evidence, recognizing that claims of metabolic activation, free-radical neutralization, or improved cellular energy require further clinical validation.
Ongoing Support
Selected assessments and services may be incorporated into our Optimal Life Annual Membership. We establish relevant baselines and review progress through body composition, physical fitness, laboratory markers, symptoms, and daily function.
Your plan evolves with your response, keeping nutrition, movement, sleep, and appropriate medical treatment central to long-term metabolic health.
