Your nervous system influences how you respond to stress, how well you sleep, and how your body recovers. When stress becomes persistent, it can be difficult to feel relaxed, focused, or fully rested.
At OWM Integrative Wellness, we take a personalized approach to nervous system health. Through mindfulness, advanced wellness technologies, and targeted clinical therapies, we help individuals explore ways to manage stress, encourage relaxation, and support overall well-being.
What Is Nervous System Regulation?
Your autonomic nervous system manages many of the body’s automatic functions, including heart rate, breathing, and digestion.
It has two important branches: the sympathetic nervous system, associated with alertness and the body’s fight-or-flight response, and the parasympathetic nervous system, which supports rest, digestion, and recovery.
Both are essential. Nervous system regulation involves helping your body respond appropriately to stress and return to a more relaxed state afterward.
What Nervous System Regulation Therapies Does OWM Offer?
Mindfulness & Muse EEG Biofeedback: Guided mindfulness practices and a wearable EEG headband provide real-time feedback during meditation, helping patients develop awareness of their responses to stress and practice relaxation techniques.
Human Regenerator Power Jet Bed: A noninvasive wellness experience using cold atmospheric plasma technology. Its potential effects on cellular processes are being studied, but benefits for nervous system regulation have not been clinically established.
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT): Uses oxygen in a pressurized chamber to increase oxygen availability in the body. Its potential neurological applications are being researched, although it is not an established treatment for general stress or anxiety.
Brain Spa by OWM: A 45-minute relaxation experience combining guided virtual reality meditation, a botanical beverage, a Brain Fit IV infusion, Normatec compression therapy, and a heated anti-gravity chair. The experience is designed to create a comfortable environment for rest and relaxation.
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP): A medically supervised treatment experience that combines ketamine administration with psychotherapeutic support. It may be considered for selected mental health conditions following a thorough evaluation. Ketamine has important risks and limitations, and its use for psychiatric conditions outside FDA-approved indications requires individualized medical oversight.
Chill Out IV & Shot: Nutrient-based formulations containing selected vitamins, minerals, and amino acids. These nutrients support normal neurological function, although the formulations have not been established as treatments for anxiety.
Targeted Peptide Therapies: Compounds such as Selank, Semax, and vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP) are being investigated for possible neurological and inflammatory applications. Their effectiveness and safety for nervous system regulation remain uncertain.
Nerve Hydrodissection: An ultrasound-guided procedure that uses fluid to gently separate tissues surrounding certain compressed or irritated peripheral nerves. It may help address selected nerve-related pain and movement concerns.
What Are the Potential Benefits?
Depending on the therapy, nervous system support may help:
- Encourage relaxation and stress awareness
- Develop mindfulness and self-regulation skills
- Support healthier rest and recovery routines
- Improve comfort and well-being
- Address certain nerve-related physical symptoms
- Provide individualized support for selected mental health concerns
Benefits vary by treatment, and some therapies remain investigational.
Who May Benefit?
Nervous system regulation services may appeal to individuals experiencing ongoing stress, difficulty relaxing, changes in sleep quality, or a desire to develop healthier recovery habits.
Patients with persistent anxiety, depression, cognitive concerns, or nerve-related pain may benefit from a clinical evaluation to determine appropriate care.
What to Expect
Your experience begins with an assessment of your symptoms, medical history, and personal goals.
Some services, such as meditation-based experiences and Brain Spa, focus on relaxation and wellness. Others, including ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, intravenous therapies, and nerve procedures, require additional clinical screening and supervision.
Your OWM provider will help determine which options are appropriate for your needs.
