Hair reduction is a staple of the aesthetics industry. Up until two decades ago, the options for taming hair growth on the face and body were shaving, waxing, chemical depilatory creams, and electrolysis. These methods were time-consuming, showed inconsistent results, and were painful and impractical for large areas of the body. IPL is both safe and effective for reducing hair growth on the body and face!
IPL is safe and effective for:
Armpit Hair
Back and Chest hair
Bikini Line
Facial Hair
Am I a good candidate for Venus Versa IPL Hair Reduction?
Venus Versa™ hair reduction l treatments are powered by Intense Pulsed Light technology, which targets the pigment in your hair follicle. The hair must be dark brown to black for successful hair reduction.
IPL treatments also tend to work best for light to medium skin tones. The treatment may work on darker skin, but there is a higher risk of discoloration because dark pigment is the target chromophore. This increases the risk of complications during treatment. It is best to consult with your treatment provider to see if the treatment is right for you.
Is there downtime after treatments?
The Venus Versa IPL treatments are non-invasive and non-ablative. You may return to your normal activities immediately with no downtime. Some patients may experience temporary redness which may last up to a few hours after treatment. Makeup may be worn after treatment if desired.
How many sessions will I need?
Satisfactory hair reduction is typically achieved in 8-12 sessions.
How long is each session?
An average Venus Versa IPL session lasts about 15-90 minutes depending on the size of the treatment area.
Venus Versa IPL technology uses incredibly fast processors and advanced cooling to make hair removal fast and almost painless. The Versa IPL has an internal cooling system that protects the skin during treatment to make the experience much more comfortable than older laser systems of the past. Its large beam size and rapid-fire technology allow for the treatment of large areas in a fraction of the time.
